A special shout-out

By Matt Lancashire

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there. I know I’m a couple of days ahead of official celebrations but the beautiful, intelligent women in our lives should be recognised every single day.

At The Collective, and wider Ray White network, it’s a privilege to be surrounded by working mothers, often leaders, who somehow juggle the huge demands of a fast-paced career with family commitments. These are the women I want to work with, as they’re efficient operators who communicate with clear, knowledgeable kindness.

We have a number of strong working mothers in The Collective and we are really proud to say that 66% of our group are women. These are star performers who have broken down countless barriers on their way to paving a path for generations to come.

I’m thrilled by recent data showing a rise in the number of female entrants into real estate, many on a part-time basis. Ray White strategy analyst Jordan Tormey said the change was particularly significant over the past 12 months.

“This isn’t just a temporary fluctuation, it marks a fundamental shift in how the real estate workforce is evolving,” he told The Courier-Mail.

And I welcome it. There’s no better team player than a hard working mother.

On a personal note, I’d like to wish my beautiful mum a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. Love you mum! While I’d also like to put my amazing wife Caity up on a pedestal – we’ve got four legendary children and they’re only that way because of their extraordinary mum.

Have a fantastic weekend.
