A selection of Ray White’s greatest talent joined forces again this month for our October Virtual Property Event. This free, livestreamed educational seminar saw Haesley Cush, Nerida Conisbee and Christine Rudolph cut through the noise to deliver the latest insights on Brisbane’s property market.
This month’s event, held on Thursday at Ray White Queensland’s Eagle Street headquarters, explored key topics including prestige buyer psychology, the latest Brisbane City Council plans to ease buyer pressure, and an REA data review.
The biggest takeaway from this session was that buyers must not wait, as dwelling prices, particularly apartments, are skyrocketing. Christine shared a case study in which her clients decided to delay a downsizing purchase by 12 months, costing them $250,000 due to price increases. It represented a 20 percent rise in the apartment’s value in just one year.
Speaking of downsizers, Ray White Collective colleagues are hosting a Downsizer Information Afternoon on Wednesday, October 22 at 1pm. In attendance will be Ray White Toowong’s Reuben Packer-Hill and Robin McIlwain, as well as a panel of experts featuring a financial adviser, solicitor, mortgage broker and Ray White chief economist Nerida Conisbee, whom I mentioned earlier. This free event will be held at Wests Rugby Union Club and is well worth attending if you can make it.
Before I let you go for another week, how good does it feel to hold the trifecta of premierships across the NRL, NRLW and AFL? Has at least one of your children asked to play Auskick or join a Broncs clinic this week? I know six-week school-based Auskick programs, including a merch pack full of goodies, cost as little as $80. With a back-to-back champion team and an incredibly affordable and accessible junior program, it’s little wonder the sport is booming across the city. Geez, it’s great to be a Queenslander! And retaining the State of Origin title is the icing on the cake.
I hope you enjoy the read.
