What is the hour of power?

The Collective is raising much-needed funds and hopefully driving awareness for this inspiring charity, Hummingbird House.

Hummingbird House is Queensland’s only children’s hospice, providing specialised paediatric palliative care services for children and young people, helping them make the most of every precious moment they have. I repeat, the ONLY children’s hospice across the entire great state of Queensland, population of around 5.5 million.

So, for the month of June, we’re holding our ‘Hour of Power’ on Thursday, June 13 from 11.30am-12.30pm. This is when we plan to do what we do best, which is hit the phones to raise as much money as we can for Hummingbird House. 

If you don’t want to chat with us, go directly to the Hummingbird House website where you’ll truly understand the wonderful work they do. This organisation currently needs $220,000 to fund additional nurse hours at no extra cost to the families they’re privileged to support. Nurses are at the heart of Hummingbird House, supporting families from the first point of contact, walking alongside them during their highs and lows, and holding them close when they face the unimaginable pain of saying final goodbyes to their precious child.

We’d greatly appreciate you giving whatever you can to this vital organisation, so it can continue to support families who need them the most.
