“When is the best time to sell?” A question I’m asked a lot. Is it Spring? Surely it’s Spring, the market is waking up after winter, the birds are singing and perfume of flowers in the garden must bring in buyers like bees to the honey pot. The answer to when, is a little less poetic and less predictable.
Real estate is a ‘now’ business. Speculating on what’s coming, only has value when you consider the likelihood of a change against the current conditions.
For example in the 2008 Winter any seller with a ‘Spring is King’ mindset who waited to launch their campaign in October would have shared the pages of the paper with stories of a global financial crisis and a steady decline in prices. Whammy!
In May we sold $125,000,000+ worth of real estate. These sales were made up of units under $350,000 and prestige homes over $5,000,000.
Many buyers are now in the market from Victoria and NSW with intentions to secure their piece of the sunshine state.
