From a leaky office to Collective leadership

Twenty years ago this month, my great mate and business partner Haesley Cush opened the doors to Ray White New Farm. Back then, it was a small, leaky office in a suburb still finding its feet. It was five people with big dreams scribbled on notepads.

Haes led that little team, and true to his character and upbringing, he hasn’t changed much since. He’s still the same charismatic, genuine, and supportive person I went to high school with.

In 2006, fresh back from overseas and unsure of my next move, I was lucky enough to call him my mentor. Without Haes, I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I’ll always be grateful for that.

This week, we celebrated his incredible 20-year milestone with a dinner alongside some of our now 170-strong Ray White Collective team, spread across seven locations. From five people in one leaky office to 170 across Brisbane, and we’re still growing. While many would ease off after two decades at the helm, Haes’ appetite for growth and high performance matches my own.

It’s been an honour to watch him continually invest in people and change lives along the way. You couldn’t ask for a better leader or a better mate, and I’m lucky to be in his circle.

Congratulations on an extraordinary innings so far, Cush. I can’t wait to share the big wins still to come.

I hope you enjoy the read.
