You may notice that video is part and parcel of every single marketing campaign I run. Why? I am not secretly launching a movie career; and whilst I always have fun, the objective is not entirely about spending my days leaping out of trees or jumping one of my freshly dry cleaned suits into a chlorine pool. We do it because video does something in outreach to prospective buyers that no other medium can.
With all the wild rain and lockdowns we have experienced periodically over the past two years, imagine being able to show potential buyers through your house no matter what time or what the weather was like.
A video of your property is a 24-hour open home that buyers can view anytime, anywhere.
Did you know that 80 per cent of Aussies research property online? A schmick video of your property can captivate viewers scrolling through a real estate portal and stand out from the crowd of other listings.
Video is extremely easy to share across all platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and is a lead generation machine. Your property can be viewed by out of town buyers who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to make it to the open home.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine what a video can do!
A video transforms the list of dot points of a listing into an experience, and makes your property memorable and appealing.
Video ads are two times more likely to create an emotional response as it gives buyers a sense of walking through the home. They can imagine what it would be like to live in the property much more easily than with still photography or even carefully and creatively crafted words.
Once a potential buyer has inspected your property physically, you can send them the video as a follow up!
Still photography often only shows snippets of your listing, while a smooth and professionally edited video has the ability to show the entire layout of your home.
For example, potential buyers can visualise how the kitchen flows into the open plan living area and out onto the terrace.
I am a huge believe in the necessity of having property marketed with a professionally directed, shot and edited video.
I hope you enjoy the read.
