Brisbane’s best auction sale

Trust the process. It’s easier said than done when the chips are down and the results are yet to reflect the tireless investment. What do they say? Those who don’t make it have often given up at the final hurdle, not realising how close to victory they were.

Last Saturday was one of the most memorable of my career. It was just another Saturday to any other local wandering down James Street seeking a breakfast at Harveys. For my team and I, it was one of the finest days of our careers with The Collective. Just across the street from Harveys is The Calile Hotel, host of our Luxury Auction Event which drew a captive audience of vetted buyers with a shared intent of securing one of Brisbane’s best properties.

We achieved a 100% clearance rate, with more than $57 million sold, including a new Brisbane auction record for 26 Elystan Rd, New Farm. We capped off our remarkable day with the sale of 29 Laidlaw Parade, East Brisbane for a new suburb record and benchmark result for riverfront property.

My team of Will Blewitt and Mariana Ferrari go beyond their responsibilities to support me in turning our ambitions into success. Thank you both for your unwavering commitment to not only our work, but to our wonderful sellers and buyers.

Thanks also to my great mate and extraordinary auctioneer Haesley Cush who summed up the day nicely when speaking to Domain about the volume of bidders at the event.

“To have that many people competing at this level shows the strength and confidence of Brisbane’s upper-end market.”

Following this, we also held an in-room Pop-Up Auction Event at Ray White New Farm last night where we sold 4 from 4 under the hammer. That’s now two back-to-back auction events with 100% clearance rates, a true reflection of the strength and depth of Brisbane’s property market.

I hope you enjoy the read.
